Our High Performance Property Buying Methodology
Many Australians have been led to believe that property values always go up. In fact, they double every seven years! This is far from the truth.
Sure, property is a safe asset class and solid performer, but like anything you can still lose out if you buy the wrong property. I speak with investors on a daily basis who have been sold “the dream” by a property spruiker, bought an off the plan apartment or a house and land package and seen their investments go backwards, which is very disappointing.
With this in mind, I’d like to share with you the BFP Property methodology which we have applied for many years (together with support from our research partner Ripehouse Advisory).

Our methodology identifies around 150 – 200 suburbs that qualify as a High Performance growth market. Once we apply the ‘human touch’ to the hard data we narrow this number down to less than 50 suburbs. So, based on the 4,000 statistically reliable suburbs across Australia there is plenty of room for error!
Like all good systems our methodology is continuously tweaked and monitored. As new data sets become available and new research published we adjust our assumptions to suit.
